Change to Calendar

We shall change to the New Calendar after the Feast of Theophany, 19th January, 2011, following the practice of most of the Deanery.  The Feast of the Nativity will be celebrated on 7th January as usual and in future years. We shall also keep New Calendar Christmas at 5.00 p.m. on Friday, 24th December.

We have now provided a link to a website giving the New Calendar. However the link to the Old Calendar will remain active until after the Leavetaking of Theophany on Thursday January 27th. This will enable those using the Calendar for daily readings to complete the time of the Feast.

‘The Way’

This is how Christianity was first described, and we shall be viewing the DVDs of the talks associated with 'The Way', a presentation over twelve sessions of the Orthodox Faith, instead of catechesis in February and March. This will take place each Tuesday from 8th March, at various locations, the first on 8th March being at Margaret Handley's house at 7.30pm. Further details of each week will be given on the calendar in due course, or you can email the web editor from the homepage. (This is not the full presentation of The Way. We are simply viewing the materials at this stage.)
